Emerald Logistics was founded in 2002 in Atlanta GA and is now located in Dallas TX. It is a privately held consultant company that specializes in lowering transportation cost mainly through carrier contract negotiations, analyzing and identifying solutions in the distribution network.
It was built on the idea that there are many companies that have an established distribution system, and want to take the next step to refine their operations. Usually this is a cost driven decision and they find they don’t have the knowledge in place to view the complexities of costs associated with carrier contracts. This is where we come in, to fill that temporary knowledge void.
Recently we’ve tied together our three main services together, freight analysis, negotiation and consulting and called it The Emerald Advantage. The main benefit to our potential clients is that it is a contingency based program and it gives them satisfaction knowing that there is no out of pocket expense on their part.
We work with our clients at milestones so they can get a better understanding of where we are in the project, but more importantly allow them to make the final decisions.
We realize that the need for a logistics specialist is short term, and our clients will usually retain us for consulting jobs after the initial study and cost reduction program is complete.
